Hell Clock Comes to Consoles, Cursed War Expansion Hits All Platforms June 2, 2026

April 24, 2026

Hell Clock, the Exile-like and roguelike Action RPG from Rogue Snail, is coming to consoles alongside Cursed War, the game’s first major expansion!  The base game hits PlayStation 5 and XBox Series X|S for the first time, and Cursed War launches on both consoles and Steam, on June 2, 2026.

Hell Clock is a combination of ARPG depth and roguelike speed, and a dark retelling of Brazil’s late 19th century War of Canudos. Play as Pajeu and descend into Purgatory and Hell, equipping Blessed Gear, Unique Relics, and powerful Skills in a fight against the demons of Brazil’s past, present, and future. The magical Hell Clock ticks, restricting how much time Pajeu can spend in the depths and reviving him each time he falls.

The Cursed War expansion explores another chapter in Brazilian history: the Paraguayan War, a conflict between Paraguay and the Triple Alliance of Brazil, Argentina, and Uruguay fought from 1864 to 1870. Relive Pajeu’s fateful past as a soldier, before the events of the base game and his return to Canudos.

“The response to Hell Clock from ARPG and roguelike fans since launching last year has driven our team to continue building on Pajeu’s story, and we can’t wait to hear what console players think,” said said Mark Venturelli, CEO of Rogue Snail and Creative Director on Hell Clock. “In the Cursed War expansion we’re adding more content, deeper systems, and uncovering more of our dark fantasy version of Brazilian history for everyone to dig into.”

Hell Clock: Cursed War builds on the base game with:

  • New Story Act - Pajeu’s campaign in Paraguay adds an all-new Act to the Hell Clock campaign.

  • New Maps & Biomes to Explore - Fight through over 10 new environments, including Swamp, Blood River, and Campo Grande biomes.

  • More Powerful Builds - A slew of new Skills to create devastating builds around, and dozens of new Relics to optimize them.

  • Mettle-Testing Boss Fights - New areas include new bosses to take down, some of the most difficult yet faced in Hell Clock.

  • New Endgame Systems - Extend the adventure even further with new Endgame Systems to truly test your build: Endless Nightmares and the full version of Ascension.

  • Another Chance to Rewrite HistoryMore Brazilian History - Cursed War continues Hell Clock’s tradition of exploring one of the darker times in real Brazilian history, with a prequel story around Pajeu’s part in a dark fantasy version of the Paraguayan War.
