Conquest Dark, the savage sword-and-sorcery survivorslike from Eldritch Sword Games that hit Early Access in April 2025, has just had a major update hit. Enter the Necrolord, a new playable class now available!
The new class, highly requested by the Conquest Dark community, brings three different necromantic playstyles into the game. Raise the dead to fight alongside you like a Necromancer, curse the living and rot them away in the style of a Warlock, or bring on endless winter in heavy armor as a Death Knight.
But that’s not all that’s new in the Necrolord Update:
- New System: Allies & Companions System - Fated Ones can now fight alongside NPCs that scale with player stats and can focus attacks on targeted enemies.
- New Race: Forlorn - Exiled former Auraboreans, the Forlorn have learned to commune with the dead. Making them perfect Necrolords!
- New Ritual: The First Graves - Cold, barren, and littered with bones of past dead, conquer three new bosses to unlock this update’s new features.
- New Damage & Condition: Umbral & Cursed - Umbral damage bypasses all resistances and can cause enemies to become Cursed, weakening their defenses, damage, and speed.
- New Feature: Runewords - Discover the power of combining specific runes together, unlocking powerful passive bonuses.
Conquest Dark melds horde survivor, bullet heaven, roguelike, and action RPG elements in an old school sword & sorcery setting. Embark on Dark Rituals in a fantasy wasteland where cosmic horror meets primal savagery, doomed to die in each attempt to unlock the secrets of the Black Planet.
Build a new Fated One in every run, quickly progressing from grunt to devastating builds centered around classic power fantasies from lithe Hunters to rageful Barbarians. Harness unique weapons, legendary armor, powerful abilities, and eldritch runes to conquer undead armies and fallen heroes.
